You come off your flight and your luggage is damaged. Now what?
If you discover that your luggage is damaged, report the damage to the airline straight away, preferably before you leave the airport. The airline will supply you with a damage report containing a reference number. A reference number usually has five letters and five numbers, for example:
DUBAZ 12345
If you bring this report and the damaged bag into the shop, at 3 Johnson’s place (off south King Street), we will either repair the bag on behalf of the airline or replace the bag (if the bag is not repairable), depending on the airline and the airline’s damage liability. If a suitable bag can be found in store, where a replacement is needed, the customers may take their replacement bag there and then. If we do not have a suitable replacement bag in stock, it may be possible to order one in, but this may take time. On average, repairs take about two working days.
Obviously, we do not have accounts with every airline, so to find out which airlines we cover, you may contact us at 01-6774622 or by email.
Unfortunately airline damage is not covered by warranty.
